Predicted Liverpool line-up v Newcastle United

A huge fixture lies ahead for Liverpool on Wednesday night as Jurgen Klopp and his players look to respond from a disappointing result against West Brom on Sunday.

Liverpool take on Newcastle United away from home in a 8pm kick-off at St James’ Park.

Newcastle welcome the English champions with no wins in their previous three Premier League matches.

Meanwhile, Liverpool will be looking to bounce back having surrendered two points at Anfield in the league for only the second occasion in 2020.

Liverpool beat Newcastle home and away last season both by a 3-1 scoreline.

The certain starters

Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino will likely lead the line again.

Jordan Henderson will start this fixture too, as will Georginio Wijnaldum in central midfield.

Andy Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold will remain at full-back. Alisson Becker will be hoping for another clean sheet on the road.

Who else will come in?

Expect Klopp to continue the rotation of his squad in what will be Liverpool’s eighth match in the space of 29 days.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has featured on the bench in Liverpool’s two previous league outings. A starting berth is surely on the cards at some point.

Liverpool’s defensive partnership will likely be Fabinho and 19-year-old Rhys Williams following a groin injury to Joel Matip.
