This season has been one fraught with injuries for the Reds. Most of the first team have been unavailable at one time or another. Despite the mountain of problems the side has faced they have battled their way to top of the Premier League table. Finally they have some good news to report. Liverpool could face West Brom with James Milner and Xherdan Shaqiri back in the side.
Liverpool injury crisis
The term injury crisis gets thrown around all too often these days.
However, what Liverpool went through this season can only be described as an injury crisis.
The Reds have lost Virgil van Dijk for the season and Joe Gomez for most of it.
Thiago has been absent since October whilst James Milner, Xherdan Shaqiri, Alisson, Naby Keita and Fabinho have also had spells out – to name just a handful.

Thankfully, the club appear to be over the worst of it – touch wood.
Liverpool returning stars v West Brom
Liverpool could have a pair of midfielders return to face West Brom.
The Reds take on the Baggies on Sunday afternoon with Jürgen Klopp’s side hoping to start pulling away at the top of the Premier League table.
Speaking at a pre-match press conference, Jürgen Klopp suggested that James Milner and Xherdan Shaqiri could feature for Liverpool against West Brom.
The pair have been back in training and have been making positive steps.
The boss appeared encouraged by their progress and said that there are two more training sessions ahead of the game for decisions to be made.
What RTK has to say
This is a major boost for the Reds.
Having James Milner and Xherdan Shaqiri back allows Jürgen Klopp to rotate his side more.
At the moment the same midfield is being run into the ground week after week.
Having players back in contention can only be good news.
