Liverpool have been unlucky to say the least when it comes to injuries this season. Kopites have been in agony waiting for the return of their Spanish superstar summer signing. The midfielder appears to be edging closer to selection. Jürgen Klopp has issued a Thiago injury update ahead of Sunday’s clash with West Brom.
Liverpool and Thiago wait
We waited all summer for the Reds to sign Thiago.
The club were consistently linked with the Spaniard as he took Bayern Munich to Champions League glory.
At a point it looked as though the transfer wouldn’t happen.
Then the glorious day arrived and we snapped him up for £20m.

Two days later he was breaking records against Chelsea.
Since then we’ve only seen him once. He dominated the Merseyside Derby but was scythed down by a petulant Richarlison tackle in the dying minutes.
Klopp delivers Thiago injury update
Kopites have been anxiously awaiting news of a Thiago injury update.
Fans are desperate to see the majestic playmaker back in action again.
Jürgen Klopp told a pre-match press conference this week that Thiago won’t feature against West Brom.
He did say, however, that he is making good progress and has made his first steps back in training.
The club are not going to ‘rush him’ back into action.
What RTK has to say
The way we are playing there is certainly no need to rush him back.
We just won 7-0, this Thiago injury update comes as light at the end of the tunnel, something to look forward to. It isn’t bad news at all.
Sure, we’re all impatient and are dying to see him play again but we’d much rather he comes back when he’s ready than him come back too soon and do further damage.
