Divock Origi cult hero

Few players have scored goals as important as Divock Origi.

The Belgian striker has come up with the goods on more than one occasion and this has earned him cult status.

Since his arrival from Lille in 2014 he’s never been a first team regular.

He has, however, been a super sub, a superlative stand in.

He netted a brace against Barcelona, a clincher in the Champions League final and he loves scoring against Everton.

Despite his huge goals he has consistently disappointed between these landmark moments.

Now 25-years-old he must be looking for more regular first team football as he tries to force his way into the Belgium side for Euro 2021.

Fiorentina join Divock Origi hunt

Many believe that the Belgian could be moved on in January.

There’s an international tournament on the horizon and he’s not playing regularly at all.

La Repubblica in Italy has claimed that Fiorentina hold an interest in Divock Origi.

The Serie A side are said to have joined Wolves in pursuing the Belgian’s signature.

However, it is stated that if Fiorentina want to sign Divock Origi they may need to act fast as they can’t match Wolves financially.

What RTK has to say

Fiorentina interest in Divock Origi is welcome.

We want the best for the striker and regular first team football is what he needs.

However, we’d much rather sell to Wolves who could stump up a bit more cash.

We could also buy a bit more good will with the midlands club which we could cash in on at a later date.

Given the impressive performances of Pedro Neto and Daniel Podence, we could well find ourselves doing business again in future.
