Liverpool fee agreed for Calum Scanlon
According to The Times, Liverpool have agreed a fee for Calum Scanlon.
The 15-year-old currently plays for the Birmingham City academy.
He can play on the left side of defence or in midfield.
Highly rated, the youngster has appeared as an England youth international.
The fee is thought to be less than £500k and the family are said to now be weighing up whether or not to make the switch.
Jürgen Klopp tactic could convince
This season Jürgen Klopp has relied heavily on his youth players.
Curtis Jones, Neco Williams and Rhys Williams have all been afforded significant game time this term.
The Scouser in particular has become an integral part of the Reds’ midfield.
The fact that the boss has been using his young players so frequently could help convince Liverpool target Calum Scanlon that Anfield is the right place for him.
He can look at the Reds’ lineups this year and feel as if he will have a path into the first team.
