This weekend both Liverpool and Spurs limped to disappointing draws.
These results left the teams level on points at the top heading into Wednesday’s Anfield clash.
It was a winner takes all, at least for now, affair.
Mo Salah opened to scoring with a deflected effort after the visitors were put under sustained pressure.
Heung Min Son equalised out of nowhere with a well taken finish before the break.
The second half saw a glut of chances on the break for the visitors but they didn’t take any of them.
Roberto Firmino cannoned a header past Hugo Lloris in the 90th minute to earn the Reds the win.
