Liverpool youth recruitment

There are a number of exciting young talents in the Liverpool academy, recruited from throughout Europe.

Billy Koumetio joined from Orleans and has threatened to burst into the first team in the next couple of seasons.

Melkamu Frauendorf has captained Germany U16s and joined the Reds from Hoffenheim over the summer.

In the summer of 2019 we saw Harvey Elliott arrive from Fulham with a burgeoning reputation, he’s only built on that since his arrival.

Harvey Elliott Blackburn loan

A deadline day decision was made to send Harvey Elliott to Blackburn on loan this season.

The 17-year-old has since become one of the most feared players in the Championship.

He’s been in electric form, this weekend netting his third goal of the season, he also has four assists.

Sofascore have the teenager down as the third best performing player in the division, narrowly behind Emi Buendia.

First team ready

Next season could be a huge one for the teenager.

Should he maintain his impressive development at Blackburn Rovers then Harvey Elliott could well be first team ready.

We are crying out for further depth up top and the teenager could save us millions as a result.

He is destined to start for us in the future, the future may just be closer than we anticipated.

Why hold him back if he’s ready?
