Diogo Jota injury blow

When will our bad luck end?

Liverpool took on FC Midtjylland in midweek and a disappointing game has seen further disappointment in the fallout.

Diogo Jota has picked up a knee injury from the fixture and according to Record in Portugal he could miss up to two months with the knock.

If the report is accurate then the Portuguese forward could miss up to 13 matches due to the injury.

Further depth needed

Liverpool need more quality in depth up front.

At the minute Diogo Jota was the only serious cover for the front three.

Whenever Divock Origi has stepped into the front line this season he has disappointed.

Given the intense fixture list and the intense brand of football the Reds play, Jürgen Klopp needs to be able to rest players whilst also being able to rely on their stand ins.

Liverpool should move for Patson Daka

Over the summer Liverpool were linked with a move for Patson Daka.

The Zambian 22-year-old has six goals in six league games this term, as well as three assists.

He netted an impressive brace against Liverpool in pre-season and thereafter Kopites were discussing whether he’d add something to the team.

The Daily Mail believe the youngster is available at £20m.

For that kind of money he’d be a bargain buy to backup the front line.

He’s young enough to develop with sporadic appearances and he’d fit the style of play perfectly having come from the Red Bull Salzburg set up.

The most important thing is that he’d be an upgrade on our current depth.
