Liverpool have been dealt yet another injury blow. The Reds have had an awful time with the treatment table this term and there just seems to be no letting up in the absences. We could see the best of Diogo Jota after Roberto Firmino reportedly picked up a foot injury, here are three reasons why:

Nailed down spot
At the minute Diogo Jota is popping up everywhere in the front three.
The Portuguese star has played left wing, right wing, through the middle and even in attacking midfield.
The absence of Roberto Firmino could see the £41m signing nail down a particular position.
Doing so would help him settle further into the team, getting the best out of him.
Every minute
This article is obviously assuming a worst case scenario which would see Roberto Firmino ruled out for a few weeks.
If the Brazilian is ruled out for a period of time then Jota would be asked to play near enough every minute.
He would certainly start a vast majority of our games.
Regular playing time will get him in the groove and could see the very best of his game.
Could become undroppable
Should the Portuguese star be thrust into the lineup for a few weeks then he could establish himself as first choice.
Roberto Firmino has only just started to recover his form after a sluggish start.
If Diogo Jota manages to play regularly in the side for weeks to come then we could see him prevent Roberto Firmino getting back into the side.
The Portuguese star has shown strong form already, doing so without Firmino in contention for a while could really see him pull ahead in the pecking order.
