Liverpool disappointed in Denmark tonight, capping off their group stage campaign with a drab draw. An academy graduate was handed his European debut and he didn’t disappoint. Liverpool fans have been raving over Leighton Clarkson v Midtjylland.

Liverpool were thoroughly disappointing against the Danish champions tonight.
The Reds put out a heavily rotated side to finish off their group stage campaign.
Mo Salah put the visitors into an early lead when he bungled the ball home on the minute mark.
Thereafter the game was dull at best, barring a few neat passages of play from each side.
The hosts equalised controversially from the spot in the second half after an offside debacle.
Takumi Minamino was debatedly denied a winner in the dying minutes after Sadio Mane was adjudged to have handballed in the build up.
Leighton Clarkson v Midtjylland
Leighton Clarkson was handed his Champions League debut against Midtjylland tonight.
The 19-year-old Lancashire lad has impressed in first team training this season and was rewarded with a shot on the big stage.
The youngster did not disappoint, in fact he more than held his own.
Clarkson was composed in possession, picking out some delicious balls into the final third.
Whilst not every ball came off he can’t be blamed for all of the stray passes – there were some poor touches from the front men.
Hopefully the teenager is given further minutes this season.

The Anfield Wrap thought he ran the first half.
He impressed plenty before the halftime whistle.
He is diddy though.
