Liverpool lineup against FC Midtjylland this week with absolutely nothing on the line. The Reds have already secured top spot and the Danes are resigned to the bottom of the pile. As a result we are expecting possibly the youngest ever XI the Reds have fielded in the Champions League. Here is our predicted Liverpool lineup to face FC Midtjylland:

Goalkeeper: Caoimhin Kelleher

The Irishman has been superlative since stepping into the side. He will be looking to put in another strong performance.

Right back: Neco Williams

The teenager has been filling in for Trent Alexander-Arnold, we expect the Scouser to be subbed on late on in the game.

Centre back: Rhys Williams

Williams has been a rock at the back when called upon this season. He’ll get another run out tomorrow.

Centre back: Billy Koumetio

The teenage sensation should be handed his Champions League debut tomorrow evening.

Left back: Kostas Tsimikas

The summer signing doesn’t get many opportunities but he’s nailed on for tomorrow.

Centre midfield: Jake Cain

The 19-year-old has made the bench before in the Champions League this season, surely an indicator that he’ll be given a shot this week.

Centre midfield: Leighton Clarkson

Another academy star in line for a start is Leighton Clarkson, the youngster has also made the bench in the Champions League this term.

Attacking midfield: Takumi Minamino

The Japan international can show what he can do in his preferred role on Wednesday night.

Right wing: Divock Origi

The Belgian has been unimpressive with his sporadic chances this season but hopefully he can turn that around.

Left wing: Liam Millar

The Canadian has been nominated for PL2 Player of the Month, he could get a rare run out in the first team.

Striker: Layton Stewart

A sensational season for Layton Stewart could and should be rewarded with a Champions League debut.
