Liverpool are somehow still near enough top of the table. The Reds have faced a drastic start to the season, one characterised by a tough fixture list, illness and injury. Despite the challenges faced, the side can at least go joint top with a win tonight. The boss isn’t as convinced of our chances, though. Jürgen Klopp has named Chelsea as favourites for the Premier League title.
Liverpool can go top
As it stands Chelsea are top of the league.
Liverpool and Spurs are, at the time of writing, behind by a point.
Should Spurs and Liverpool both win this evening then the pair will go joint top of the league on points, two clear of Chelsea.
If the Reds better Spurs’ result this evening then Jürgen Klopp’s side will go clear at the top.

Considering the fact that the boss has had to journey to Chelsea and Man City and has had to deal with a string of injuries, to be top in December would be an impressive feat.
Jürgen Klopp backs Chelsea as favourites
Speaking ahead of the Reds’ visit from Wolves, Jürgen Klopp named Chelsea as favourites for the Premier League title.
The West London side spent heavily in the summer in order to get back on top.
Frank Lampard brought in Kai Havertz, Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech for a huge combined fee.
As a result Jürgen Klopp believes Chelsea could well be favourites, Sky Sports quote the boss as saying:
“If I watch football games at the moment then Chelsea, for me, look like favourites.
“They have the biggest squad, great players playing well together after a rusty start – and they are full on.
“They have unbelievable opportunities to change in games and make changes from one game to the other – so that is it.
“I don’t feel we are chasing anyone at the moment – or that anyone is chasing us.”
What RTK has to say
Jürgen Klopp naming Chelsea as favourites for the Premier League title comes as no surprise.
It is one of the oldest tricks in the book, piling pressure on your opponents.
The boss will be well aware of the psychological advantage of putting them in the spotlight.
Chelsea should be favourites though considering how much they’ve spent.
They’ve once again gone out of their way to try and buy themselves into the top spot. It’d be ridiculous if they weren’t up there.
