Harvey Elliott wonderkid

When Liverpool signed Harvey Elliott there was a real buzz about his arrival.

The teenager had been breaking all sorts of records for Fulham.

There was also the consideration that the Reds had beaten a host of top sides to the youngster’s signature.

Real Madrid even flew him over to Spain to try and convince him.

As of yet we still don’t know how much the teenager will end up costing the club as the matter will be decided by tribunal.

Loan spell success

This summer a late decision was made to loan Harvey Elliott to Blackburn Rovers.

The teenager moved on deadline day and has been a hit at Ewood Park.

At one point he was ranked as the most in form player in the division.

He has netted two goals and bagged three assists so far – not a bad return for a 17-year-old in the men’s game.

Harvey Elliott Blackburn Rovers wonder goal

This week Harvey Elliott netted a wonder goal for Blackburn Rovers.

The teenager opened the scoring against Millwall by curling one into the top left corner from the right hand side of the box.

It was a truly stunning effort from the teenager.

The strike showed that the youngster isn’t far from first team level.

He has become more confident and he’s added a selfish streak to his game.

Whilst he impressed in his sporadic appearances for Liverpool he rarely went it alone.

Often the youngster would look for the pass or the cross. He has shown this week that he now has the confidence to go it alone and do something special.

When you look at the likes of Mo Salah, this arrogant streak can be the making of a top footballer.
