Liverpool are in dire need of defensive reinforcements, there’s no debating that. Liverpool have lost a number of first team stars to the treatment table and the defence has been worst hit. On Tuesday night we saw a reported defensive target take on the Reds. Perr Schuurs passed his Liverpool audition with flying colours, we should sign him in January.
Liverpool injury crisis
The Reds have lost most of their key stars this season.
As it stands four of the back five are ruled out.
Alisson Becker has been ruled out with a hamstring problem and Trent Alexander-Arnold is still recovering from a calf issue.
Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez have both picked up serious knee injuries and won’t start together again this season.

This has left Joel Matip as the last natural centre back standing.
Many believe that a January swoop is essential to maintain a challenge on the Premier League and European fronts.
Liverpool linked with Perr Schuurs
There have been a number of potential targets mooted.
Liverpool have been persistently linked with Perr Schuurs in recent weeks.
The 21-year-old Dutch defender has become a regular fixture for Ajax this term.
The Reds know all about him as well, he was on loan at the club before joining the Dutch champions.
De Telegraaf reported last week that Liverpool could sign Perr Schuurs ‘immediately’ for ap rice of £27m.
Perr Schuurs passes Liverpool audition
This week the 21-year-old centre back was a star in the Ajax defence at Anfield.
He put in a number of precise challenges at key times and his use of the ball was astute.
Even his booking was a high point of his game, had he not had the intelligence to bring Sadio Mane down then the Senegalese forward would have been clear on goal.
It was an overall tremendous performance.
Had Perr Schuurs not been so on the ball against the Reds then the score line could’ve been far greater.
We should snap him up in January without hesitation, he ticks all of the boxes.
