Liverpool had a typically impressive summer transfer window. The Reds were wheeling and dealing as usual, bringing in top talents for a snip of a net spend. The Reds have been without arguably their most impressive signing for most of the season and it looks as though he’ll be out for a bit longer. Liverpool have issued a Thiago injury update which suggests he is unlikely to play again this year.

Thiago at Liverpool
The summer signing of Thiago was a monumental one for Liverpool.
The Spaniard was courted by the club all summer and fans were anxious for him to join.
Eventually he signed for a fee of £20m, joining on a four year deal.
Since then we’ve only seen the midfielder play a game and a half after he was ruled out by illness and injury/
Thiago injury update
Speaking at a pre-match press conference ahead of Tuesday night’s tie with Ajax, Jürgen Klopp issued a Thiago injury update.
The boss gave some context to the problem, explaining that the player has been out for so long because the issue is worse than first feared.
Ian Doyle tweeted after the press conference that Thiago is unlikely to play again this year as he continues his rehabilitation.
What RTK has to say
This is the Thiago injury update we were all dreading.
Kopites are desperate to see the midfielder back in action but it looks as though his return is some way off.
We were hoping he’d be back in time for the Christmas run in but it appears that this is not the case.
Fingers crossed when he’s back he’ll be back in the side for a while, we can’t afford to lose him again.
