Liverpool interest and Nuno Mendes contract
Liverpool have been linked with Nuno Mendes for some months now.
The Reds, along with Man United, are thought to have been tracking the Sporting teenager for some time.
The latest report from A Bola in Portugal has claimed that Liverpool interest in Nuno Mendes is delaying the teenager signing a new contract.
A Bola claim that the player’s agent is considering the fact that the €45m (£40.45m) release clause in the new deal could put of potential suitors with Liverpool referenced in the article.
What RTK has to say
Liverpool have been linked with the teenager for some time now.
The Reds certainly wouldn’t do business at £40m and that will be at the forefront of the agent’s thinking.
However, whether or not the Reds would do business at all given the recent signing of Kostas Tsimikas is another question entirely.
We can’t see Liverpool moving for Nuno Mendes in the near future release clause or not.
The only circumstances in which the move would make sense would be if he was to be converted into a wide forward.
