Liverpool have had another frustrating weekend. The Reds were denied a win at Brighton in controversial circumstances as VAR ruled out two goals for the visitors and awarded one to the hosts. Jürgen Klopp was fuming and reasonably so, he’s not the only one. Liverpool fans have backed James Milner after he complained about VAR on Twitter.

Liverpool held at Brighton
The Reds looked bright for spells against Brighton on Saturday but they were also passive in large chunks of the game.
After knocking on the door for an hour Diogo Jota opened the scoring.
The Portuguese start dribbled past a couple of defenders before firing into the bottom corner.
This goal came after a Mo Salah strike was chalked off and before a Sadio Mane header was ruled out.
In injury time Brighton were handed a penalty in controversial circumstances, VAR awarding a spot kick for a slow-mo replay.
James Milner on VAR
The role of the video assistant was once again called into question on Saturday.
The issue at stake is the alleged ‘re-refereeing’ of games by video assistants.
Many innocuous moments of the game are being put under the microscope after play has moved on, looking for any reason to give a penalty.
James Milner took to Twitter to question the use of VAR, saying in its current state it is causing fans to fall out of love with the game.
His is a view shared by many. Fans aren’t celebrating goals the way we used to. Something has to change.
Fans support Milner
One supporter said he doesn’t even look forward to the game anymore.
There was plenty of support for Milner.
There’s also fans wanting to make sure he’s looking after his fitness.
His sentiments about the love of the game were echoed.
