Liverpool were thoroughly beaten on Wednesday night. The Reds were bested by a determined Atalanta side with a point to prove. There was no pressure on Jürgen Klopp’s side and that showed. This weekend will be an entirely different prospect. Here are three players Liverpool can bring in to batter Brighton on Saturday:

Thiago Alcantara
It could finally be the time. We may finally have Thiago back.
The Spaniard has been sidelined since the Merseyside Derby back in October, managing just a game and a half since his summer switch from Bayern Munich.
He is surely edging back to full fitness, the boss must be wrapping him in cotton wool in order to protect him for the festive run in.
Should Thiago be fit to face Brighton then he could make all the difference in the midfield.
We were uninventive in possession on Wednesday night due to the absence of Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Having the ex-Bayern playmaker in the middle can transform our creative output.
Jordan Henderson
The skipper has been absent for our last two games but he could be back in the Liverpool team to face Brighton.
Hendo helps keep intensity high and the team ticking, he is always barking encouragement and orders at his teammates in order to maintain the top standards we’re used to.
We missed him against Atalanta on Wednesday night, it’s the type of game he thrives in.
Diogo Jota
The Portuguese star came on off the bench on Wednesday night and looked lively as ever but he was hamstrung by a lack of service.
Whenever he did get the ball he was looking to quicken the pace with direct running, firing passes into teammates.
His form in the Premier League is something to behold, he can’t stop scoring for the Reds in the competition.
He could make all the difference if he’s given a starting berth on Saturday afternoon.
