"So unlucky": Liverpool fans gutted for Paul Glatzel after injury blow

Liverpool are struggling to keep players fit. The Reds physios are having to work doubly hard this season after a sharp uptake in soft tissue injuries. Liverpool injury crisis

Like flies I tell ya.

The Reds first team have been dropping like flies this season. Jürgen Klopp must be pulling his hair out after campaigning tirelessly for a more lenient schedule and for more substitutes, only to for his pleas to fall on deaf ears.

The first team has been ravaged by injuries this season with a string of key stars ruled out.

Thiago has only managed a game and a half since his summer switch.

Whilst Virgil van Dijk won’t play again this season after rupturing his ACL in the Merseyside Derby.

Joe Gomez will be lucky to turn out again this term after picking up a knee injury of his own when on England duty.

Paul Glatzel injury update

This weekend the problems extended into the academy as two strikers were forced off as the U23s took on Southampton U23s.

Joe Hardy and Paul Glatzel succumbed to injury in the tie, the former stretchered off whilst the latter limped off.

The Reds delivered an update on the fitness of the pair this week, saying that they’ll be out for ‘several weeks’ with ankle ligament damage.

The news is particularly sore for Paul Glatzel given that he has only recently returned from a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
