Liverpool are always looking towards the future. The Reds have a track record in recent years of buying potential, transforming these blossoming stars into world class superstars – as a result, one potential signing in particular makes a lot of sense. Reported Liverpool target Eduardo Camavinga has opened the door on a move by admitted big clubs make him dream.
Who is Eduardo Camavinga?
Last month Eduardo Camavinga turned 18-years-old, despite his young age he has 46 appearances for French side Rennes.
The holding midfielder is one of the hottest young properties in European football given the level of his performances in his teenage years.
Since bursting onto the scene in Ligue 1 he has also been handed opportunities for his country.
In October the teenager became France’s youngest goal scorer in over a century when he netted against Ukraine.
Liverpool target Camavinga open to move
In March, Sport linked Liverpool with a move for Eduardo Camavinga, tipping the Reds to rival Real Madrid for the teenager’s signature.
The report claimed that the youngster would cost £46m – a bargain in the long term.
The Frenchman has opened the door to a move to Anfield. When talking about signing a new contract with Rennes, he told reporters (via Goal):
“I have two years left on my contract and we’ll have time to talk. There will be talks.
“To prolong my stay at the club that formed me would make me happy.
“Obviously, the big clubs are a dream.”
What RTK has to say
Liverpool signing Eduardo Camavinga would be a dream.
The teenager has well over a decade of being brilliant ahead of him.
Nailing down a starting berth in a major European league at just 17-years-old is an impressive feat and a sure indicator of his potential.
Given the injury problems we’ve had with the likes of Naby Keita, we could do well with another body in midfield.
