Liverpool injury crisis

Have you ever seen anything like it?

Fate has conspired against Liverpool this season in the form of the worst injury crisis the club, nay the entire division has seen in decades.

Jürgen Klopp has lost his starting centre back partnership for the entire season, in total he’s seen over a dozen players drop out of availability at one time or another.

Virgil van Dijk won’t play again this term, Joe Gomez will be lucky if he does.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain still isn’t over a pre-season issue whilst summer superstar signing Thiago has only managed a game and a half.

Thiago and Fabinho pictured

The Liverpool ECHO today tweeted, along with Liverpool, pictures of Thiago and Fabinho at the AXA Training Centre.

Now, whether or not this means they’re available for Sunday we do not know.

Thiago, signed from Bayern Munich for £20m, hasn’t been seen since the Merseyside Derby when he was crunched by Richarlison

Whilst Fabby, bought from Monaco for £39m, has been absent since picking up a hamstring issue in the Champions League home tie with FC Midtjylland.

The lack of word on their availability hasn’t stopped Liverpool fans getting excited about Thiago and Fabinho being pictured.

Fans react to training centre snaps

One fan thinks we’ve been resurrected.

Another just wants more Thiago.

It’s the update we all needed.

One supporter was verging on tears.

End of the day, everyone’s made up.
