Liverpool’s midfield is a well oiled machine. Jürgen Klopp has drilled his side to perfection, leaving opposition helpless whenever they’re in possession. One of the key cogs of this well oiled machine looks set for the exit door in the next six months or so. According to Sport in Spain, Real Madrid have joined the chase for Gini Wijnaldum.
Gini Wijnaldum is out of contract at the end of this season.
The Dutchman has been with the Reds since joining from Newcastle United in 2016, the Magpies accepting £25m for their starboy.
He has become a vital part of the team in the years that followed, transformed from a goal grabbing attacking midfielder to a box to box relentless presser, his determination terrifies opposition.
Despite his importance to the team, there has been no agreement reached on a new deal for the midfielder.

Given that he is 30-years-old the club must feel that they can’t justify handing him another long term deal on expensive wages.
As a result, other teams can approach him in January to sign a pre-contract.
Real Madrid want Gini Wijnaldum
According to Sport in Spain, Real Madrid have joined the chase for Gini Wijnaldum.
The La Liga giants will have to do battle with their fierce rivals Barcelona if they want to land the 30-year-old.
Ronald Koeman allegedly made Wijnaldum a ‘non-negotiable’ target when he took over at the Camp Nou.
The report claims that Zizou wants more options in his midfield in the Spanish capital, understandable given his side’s patchy form this season.
What RTK has to say
The midfielder leaving Anfield seems inevitable now.
Real Madrid may be a good destination for Gini Wijnaldum.
Whilst at the Camp Nou he could link up with his former national team coach and continue the proud tradition of Dutch footballers at Barcelona, the club are in a state of flux at the minute and a move there could prove risky.
Whatever he decides he’s got our backing, he’s earned that much with his vital goals down the years.
