Liverpool have been rocked by injuries in the opening couple of months of the season. The Reds have seen their squad decimated by knocks, niggles and illnesses. At the minute it’s a case of wondering who will drop out next. Thankfully, we’ve got some good news to report. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has offered an injury update on Instagram.

Liverpool injury crisis
Jürgen Klopp must be pulling his hair out in frustration.
The Reds have lost over a dozen players to injury and illness this season.
The problems stretch all the way back into pre-season, when Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain picked up a knee injury.
Since then we’ve seen star buy Thiago ruled out with COVID-19 and a petulant tackle from Richarlison.
There’s also been a season ending injury for Virgil van Dijk and a blow which will see Joe Gomez miss most of the campaign.
Oxlade-Chamberlain injury update
We’ve not seen The Ox since he picked up an injury in pre-season.
Given his longstanding fitness issues it’s no surprise that he hasn’t been rushed back into action.
Thankfully for Kopites, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain appears to have offered an injury update with an Instagram post.
The midfielder is pictured back on the field with a ball at his feet, a key stage in his reintroduction to the side.
The photo indicates that he is out of the gym and off the treatment table and back to recovering fitness and match sharpness ahead of a return to the side.
What RTK has to say
We were due a bit of good news.
This Oxlade-Chamberlain injury update comes hot on the heels of a string of blows to the Reds’ first team during the international break.
We could do with The Ox back in the side as soon as possible, he offers attacking impetus in midfield and he could really flourish in the 4-2-3-1 the boss has experimented with of late.
Hopefully he isn’t far off a return to the side.
