Liverpool offer ‘strong competition’ to Juventus over Erling Haaland, according to reports. The Italians see him as their Cristiano Ronaldo replacement.
Juventus want Erling Haaland for a big role, says TuttoMercatoWeb. The outlet believes the Old Lady see him as a replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Portuguese legend could be off to Paris Saint-Germain to form a trio with Neymar and Kylian Mbappe, it says. And he’d certainly need a replacement.
Juventus hope that can be Haaland but face ‘very strong’ competition from Liverpool. The Norwegian also likes the Premier League, apparently.
The battle for Haaland could even happen as early as next year. Borussia Dortmund are open to selling, according to the report, as long as someone pays enough.

He’d cost at least £67m, however, as that’s his reported release clause in 2022.
What RTK has to say
Well this is a story full of glamour. We’ve got superstar trio in Paris, we’ve got super clubs battling over the next big thing, and we’ve got enormous amounts of money involved.
Will it play out this way? Who really knows. We can believe that Juventus would move on Ronaldo (soon to be 36) to secure the next superstar.
Haaland will be a supremely good signing for whoever he moves to next and that could be this summer if the release clause is accurate.
Dortmund will get far more than £67m this summer if they choose to sell. The real question, then, is whether Liverpool would pay it.
If Roberto Firmino doesn’t pick up his form, we honestly might say yes. Liverpool would want a young striker and they don’t really come much better than Haaland.
There’s Kylian Mbappe, of course, but it sounds like we’re playing Football Manager at this stage.
So let’s wait and see. But this is definitely one to keep an eye on.
