Liverpool have put in some memorable performances under Jürgen Klopp. There has been the 4-0 at Leicester, the 4-0 against Barcelona and a few maulings of Man City. This week we saw the Reds add a 5-0 rout against Atalanta to this list of terrific displays. With his demolition job in Italy, Jürgen Klopp has fired a warning shot at Man City ahead of Sunday.

Liverpool masterclass
Tuesday night saw the best Liverpool performance of the season by some distance.
The Reds were in fine fettle in Bergamo, a rotated front three demolishing their Serie A opponents.
There was a hattrick from Diogo Jota and a goal each from Sadio Mane and Mo Salah, as well as superlative defensive performances.
One of the most encouraging takeaways from the game was the slick football. Liverpool hit their stride, they were swaggering about the pitch at times, stroking the ball this way and that, carving the opposition open.
Klopp warning shot
This emphatic result will serve as Jürgen Klopp’s warning shot at Man City ahead of this weekend.
The Reds just netted five ahead of playing a struggling City side.
Pep Guardiola’s men haven’t scored more than one goal in a Premier League game since September.
Given that the Reds just netted five in one game, the Eithad side should be worried about what is to come on Sunday.
A win for Jürgen Klopp would put him eight points clear of the Blues, although Pep would still have a game in hand.
As long as Liverpool can maintain the level of performance we saw on Tuesday night, they should sweep Man City aside without much trouble.
