Liverpool have made some strong signings in recent windows, transfers which have really transformed the side. Virgil van Dijk and Alisson Becker are two shining examples of how astute the Reds’ transfer business has been. One signing sure to go down as a bargain down the line has drawn praise from the gaffer. Jürgen Klopp has talked about how likeable Diogo Jota is.
Liverpool sign Jota
Liverpool signed Diogo Jota much to the surprise of fans and pundits across the globe.
It was well known that the Reds were in the market for a versatile forward to cover the front three but the names most bandied about were Ismaila Sarr and the less likely Jadon Sancho.
Just hours after the Thiago deal was announced, news broke that Liverpool had tied up a deal for Diogo Jota.
Michael Edwards agreed to pay £41m for the Portuguese forward.

Klopp on Jota
Speaking to Liverpool’s official site after the game, Jürgen Klopp heaped praise on Diogo Jota.
The 23-year-old headed home the winner for Jürgen in a hard fought victory over Sheffield United.
The boss said of the youngster:
“He is a good player, that’s why we signed him. I said it only a few minutes ago when I was speaking with my coaches that it is so easy – he is such a likeable person and so it is so easy to like him. That makes everything easier.
“Then the player he is: he is quick, he has the physicality, he is strong, he is good in the air, he is good on the ground… a lot of good things. He has exactly the quality we need, so that helps a lot.”
What RTK has to say
It is no surprise that Jürgen Klopp has taken to Diogo Jota so quickly, he came highly recommended by Pep Lijnders.
The Portuguese star getting such frequent game time so early in his Liverpool career also speaks volumes about his personality – Klopp typically waits some time before bringing new signings into the fold.
Given that he is just 23-years-old we can’t wait to see how the youngster develops seeing as he clearly enjoys a strong relationship with the boss.
