Liverpool have had a strong transfer window yet again this summer. The Reds made some astute signings to strengthen problem areas around the pitch. The side’s most expensive signing of the window has hit the ground running and is already gaining admirers in the Kop faithful. Twitter has been raving over Diogo Jota after he scored the winner against Sheffield United.
Liverpool sign Diogo Jota
The signing of Diogo Jota came as a surprise to many.
The Reds had been linked with dozens of wide forwards throughout the summer but the Portuguese star’s name wasn’t mentioned until the club had pretty much agreed a deal to sign him.
Michael Edwards agreed a £41m deal to bring the 23-year-old to Anfield, the announcement coming just a day after Thiago Alcantara was unveiled as a Liverpool player.

It was the Portuguese star’s first Premier League start for the Reds since his switch from Wolves.
He was thoroughly impressive throughout the evening, looking like a livewire whenever in possession, charging up the pitch bouncing passess off teammates.
His header in the middle of the second half was enough to secure the points for Jürgen Klopp’s men in a hard fought victory over Chris Wilder’s Blades.
