We were all shocked by the news, we weren’t linked with him until just a few hours before the deal was wrapped up.

Diogo Jota impresses again

Diogo Jota has settled into the side quicker than we could’ve hoped for.

The 23-year-old netted on his Premier League debut for the Reds, putting the game to bed against Arsenal.

He has since impressed with a cameo against Ajax and has this weekend bagged the winner against Sheffield United.

The Portuguese star was in fine fettle against the Blades, always looking to drive forward, bouncing passess off his teammates as he charged up the pitch.

He came up with the goods when needed, nodding in Sadio Mane’s superlative cross in the second half.

Jota will be a bargain

At jut 23-years-old, Jota has so much time to improve and where better to do that than Liverpool?

Jürgen Klopp has consistently turned good players into great ones, transforming obscure footballers, diamonds in the rough, into world class superstars.

Jota has arrived already boasting a great deal of ability but even more potential. If he continues in this form and continues to improve then Liverpool’s £41m will look like a bargain of a deal.
