Liverpool’s attacking line has become one of the most feared in world football. The Reds have assembled a trio of attackers who dismantle opposition with ease, drilled to perfection by Jürgen Klopp. One of the members of the front three could do with a spell out of the side. Liverpool need to drop Roberto Firmino to help him recover his form.
Poor start to the season
We can’t pretend that this has been Roberto Firmino’s best season so far.
The Brazilian has simply not been at the races since the start of the campaign.
Bobby hasn’t been pressing with the ferocity we’ve come to expect, the type of pressing which has consistently created chances for those around him.
He also hasn’t been as creative as usual, his passes have been too easily intercepted and the two assists he has bagged add a generous gloss to his numbers.

Most importantly for a striker, he hasn’t scored once this season – against Aston Villa in particular he consistently fluffed his lines.
Liverpool need to drop Firmino
Liverpool need to drop Roberto Firmino in order to help him recover his form.
A spell out of the side would give the striker some much needed rest and would show him that there is competition for places – he can’t just assume he’s an automatic starter.
The time out of the side would also give him time to work on getting back to where he needs to be, away from the on pitch frustrations and off field criticisms from fans and pundits.
He’s still a world class forward, we just need him to rediscover that form. Takumi Minamino looks more than capable of filling in for now.
