Liverpool have gotten all of their incoming transfers wrapped up early. The Reds are unlikely to make any more additions before the transfer deadline but they may well see some departures. According to a report from the Glasgow Times, Celtic are plotting a late swoop for Harry Wilson.
Harry Wilson at Liverpool
Liverpool have produced some wonderful talents at the academy down the years, Harry Wilson is one of them.
The Welshman has been with the Reds since U9 level, progressing through the ranks.
Wilson enjoyed a successful loan spell with Derby County where he won the goal of the month award regularly.
He spent last season on loan at Bournemouth and had a hit and miss campaign, sometimes showing what he was capable of, often injured.
The Welshman is widely expected to be moved on to find regular first team football.
Celtic want Harry Wilson
According to the Glasgow Times, Celtic are plotting a late swoop for Harry Wilson.
The Scottish giants are thought to be considering a late loan move for the 23-year-old.
The Glaswegians are claimed to be hoping that the Reds would accept a late loan move with no acceptable permanent offers on the table.
The loan would help the Reds save money on wages for a player they aren’t planning on using during the season.
What RTK has to say
Like many Kopites, I have a soft spot for Celtic.
If I could pick any club to take Wilson on loan it would probably be them, he could really kick on in the Scottish league and he would be part of the soon to be legendary 10 in a row side.
Fingers crossed he gets a move somewhere, he’s a talented lad and as it stands he isn’t going to get much football this season.
At this stage of his career he needs to be playing regularly. Maybe Paradise is the place for him.
