Liverpool absolutely coasted to the league title last term. The Reds were in the driver’s seat throughout the season, dominating the domestic competition. Many pundits had tipped Manchester City to regain their crown this time around but they are already showing the same old weaknesses. Some Twitter users have claimed Manchester City are already out of the title race.

Liverpool walk to title
Last season Liverpool won their first league title in 30 years, crowned champions by an 18 point margin.
The Reds’ lead extended to 24 points at times during the season, in truth they would’ve likely broken the 100 point mark had the pause in play not interrupted the side’s rhythm.
Manchester City lost nine games last season, a record which saw them finish well off the pace of the eventual winners.
Manchester City drop more points
For some reason pundits thought that Pep Guardiola would wave a magic wand and it would solve all of the problems we saw with City last term.
This season we have seen more of the same. The Citizens were thrashed 5-2 at home by Leicester City last week, this week they drew away at Leeds United.
Given the extraordinary pace the Reds set last season, and the fact that Jürgen Klopp’s side are showing no signs of relenting, these four points dropped could be the first of many and could prove vital.
Manchester City out of title race?
Some fans believe the title race is already over.
If something doesn’t change soon then the Citizens will be playing a serious game of catch up.
Are the Etihad side out of it after just three games?
Are…are we the farmer’s league?
Could the Ev be our major title challengers?
Ah well, we all know how City will try and fix the problem.
