Liverpool have established themselves as the team to beat in world football at the minute. The Reds have assembled a team that plays with remarkable consistency and intensity. The consistency has cost some young players the chance to breakthrough, leading to some seeking moves away. Wantaway star Yasser Larouci is reportedly set to be sold by Monday.

Yasser Larouci at Liverpool

Liverpool signed Yasser Larouci from Le Havre in 2017.

When the youngster arrived on Merseyside he was an electric winger but he was soon converted into a left back, a move which paid off immediately.

The teenager was a key part of Barry Lewtas’ FA Youth Cup winning side in 2019. He made his first team debut as a sub in January of this year, replacing an injured James Milner against Everton.

Larouci to be sold

Liverpool ECHO journalist Theo Squires told the Blood Red Podcast that Yasser Larouci wants to move in search of first team football.

According to Goal he will get his wish, the outlet has claimed that the 19-year-old will be sold before Monday’s deadline.

Two clubs are said to have contacted the Reds about the youngster, one of the clubs is believed to be Norwich with the Canaries having shown an interest earlier on in the window.

Although they’re leaving it late, Liverpool expect a deal to go right down to the wire and be completed before the deadline.

What RTK has to say

A bit more money for the kitty then, although it won’t be much given his lack of experience and the fact that he only has a year left on his contract.

Larouci will make it somewhere, just not at Liverpool. He is a very talented player, we saw as much in the FA Cup last season, he terrorised Everton.

However, he has Kostas Tsimikas and Andy Robertson ahead of him, he won’t be getting any opportunities any time soon.

Fingers crossed he gets some regular game time wherever he ends up.
