Liverpool have been busy bees in the transfer market in the past week. The Reds have spent a big chunk of money on two new arrivals and as a result the club will now be looking to make some sales in order to balance the books. According to James Pearce, the club are in discussions about selling Harry Wilson to Burnley. Twitter has reacted to the news.
Harry Wilson at Liverpool
Liverpool have been producing some of the games brightest stars at the academy down the years.
Steven Gerrard, Michael Owen and Trent Alexander-Arnold are just a few examples of players to emerge through the ranks.
Harry Wilson joined the Reds youth setup at U9 level and has been at the club ever since.
Despite being at the club all of these years, now 23-years-old, he is yet to make a senior appearance in the league.
Instead he has been farmed out on loan to various clubs, his most successful spell being under Frank Lampard at Derby County where he won the goal of the month award consistently.
Harry Wilson to Burnley
James Pearce has tweeted that the Reds are in talks about selling Harry Wilson to Burnley.
£15m would match Burnley’s club record buy, £20m would break it by some distance.
Twitter reacts to news
Some fans are hopeful that the move will help kick start the youngster’s career.
His time was up here at Liverpool. Always performed well in pre-season, however, he needs a new start to kick on in his career as a footballer. We wish him all the best on his future endeavours wherever he goes.

He should get more regular minutes playing at Turf Moor.
It’ll be a great move for all. He’s not that young anymore at 23 and should be playing more regular football. It’s pretty clear he doesn’t suit how Klopp wants to play and Wilson will hopefully get more gametime at Burnley. All the best to him if this happens! #YNWA

Some are questioning how much we could get for the winger.
Refuse to believe Burnley are paying us more than £10m for Wilson.

This user believes we’ll get the £20m.
Burnley interested in Harry Wilson. Knowing Michael Edwards I don’t think we will be accepting anything under £20 million.

Others aren’t as hopeful.
Harry Wilson to Burnley potentially, we’re probs not gonna get the 20m we wanted but he should be a good signing for them

No matter what fee we get, it could point towards another winger coming in.
