Liverpool have been active in the transfer market in the last week. The Reds have brought in one of the best midfielders in the world and one of the most promising forwards in the Premier League. These buys will, surely, mean the Reds selling a player or two to balance the books. According to The Mirror, Wolves are interested in buying Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain from the Reds.
What a week
After months of telling us that there was no money in the pot, Liverpool have gone out and spent handsomely on a couple of star additions.
The Reds have brought in Thiago Alcantara from Bayern Munich after a summer long saga.
The club have also signed Diogo Jota after just a few hours of rumours flying about.
One signing was reported for some time whilst the other came as surprise to everybody. Both of them combined should mean a sale or two from the first team.
Wolves want Oxlade-Chamberlain
According to a report in The Mirror, Wolves are interested in Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
The Ox joined the Reds from Arsenal for around £35m in 2017.
Since joining the Reds the midfielder has had a torrid time with injuries, including a nasty one sustained against Roma which saw him miss the best part of a year.
However, in the moments when he has been fit and has had a run of games he has been often outstanding.
If the Englishman joins Wolves he will be the second Red to head to the midlands this summer after the Premier League side bagged Ki-Jana Hoever this week.
What RTK has to say
Losing the Ox wouldn’t be a disaster if we got decent money for him.
However, if we got a penny less than what we paid for him then it would be disappointing.
Sadly, for all of his natural talent, the midfielder is chronically injured.
He, of course, has mountains of talent, but he doesn’t get enough games to showcase this talent.
We’ll wait and see how this one plays out.
