This afternoon Liverpool face Chelsea in a clash sure to have a significant impact on the title race. The Reds have recently added Thiago and Diogo Jota to the squad whilst the Chels have brought in a raft of new signing to claw back the mammoth gap between themselves and last year’s champions. Here is the confirmed Liverpool lineup to face Chelsea:

Goalkeeper: Alisson Becker
The Brazilian will be crucial to the Reds’ success today, he’ll be facing lethal firepower in Timo werner.
Right back: Trent Alexander-Arnold
The Scouser in our team dominated the West London side last season with two goals and an assist.
Centre back: Fabinho
The Brazilian drops into the middle of defence, we’ve seen him there before.
Centre back: Virgil van Dijk
Virgil van Dijk made a mistake in the opening day fixture, he won’t be as sloppy this time around.
Left back: Andy Robertson
Andy Robbo, published author, had a blinder against Leeds, we’ll be hoping for more of the same.
Defensive midfield: Jordan Henderson
The skipper has scored worldies at Stamford Bridge in the past, another today wouldn’t go amiss.
Centre midfield: Naby Keita
The Guinean box to box player could be the locksmith we need today.
Centre midfield: Gini Wijnaldum
The Dutchman is set to remain at the Reds (hopefully), a strong performance today should remind us why.
Right wing: Mo Salah
Mo scored a hat-trick on the opening day, he will be looking to continue his fine form this afternoon.
Left wing: Sadio Mane
Sadio may not have scored against Leeds United but he did all the running, another strong performance is expected.
Striker: Bobby Firmino
Bobby Firmino netted at Stamford Bridge last season, let’s hope for more of the same.
