Liverpool spent all summer telling us there was no money in the pot. They told us that the Reds would have to be restrained in the transfer market as the club dealt with the financial impact of the global health crisis. Then this week they took us all of guard with a pair of marquee signings. Gabby Agbonlahor has reacted to the new Liverpool signing.

Liverpool summer spree

It has been a long summer for Liverpool fans.

Up until this week the Reds had only brought in one first team player and even then they sold one first.

Then in the last few days we saw Michael Edwards pull off a masterstroke as he made two marquee signings.

Liverpool brought in Thiago Alcantara from Bayern Munich and Diogo Jota from Wolves over the course of just two days.

One was an anticipated buy but the other took us all off guard, both have got us excited.

Agbonlahor on Liverpool signings

Following a whirlwind few days at Anfield, fans and pundits the world over have been reacting to the Reds’ business.

Commenting on Sky Sports’ Instagram post, Gabby Agbonlahor reacted to one of two new Liverpool signings, saying:

“Jota mane salah running at u!! Deary deary me Liverpool gonna be a problem.”

What RTK has to say

Whether we see a front three of Jota, Mane, Salah remains to be seen.

However, we can be excited about it going forward. The Portuguese forward can play anywhere across the attack so we may well see him appear between our two wingers.

The Reds will most certainly be a problem for opposition defences now that we’ve added significant strength in depth to the attack.

We’ve addressed key issues, who knows how dominant the lads can be as a result?
