Liverpool today continued their 100% start to the season with a convincing win over a lacklustre Chelsea side. The Blues went down to 10 men just before halftime after Andreas Christensen brought down Sadio Mane in a bizarre manner. The 2-0 win was thoroughly deserved, here are our Liverpool player ratings v Chelsea:

Alisson Becker – 9
The Brazilian was as solid as ever, even saving a penalty with 15 minutes to go.
Trent Alexander-Arnold – 8
The Scouser in our team dominated the West London side just as predicted, he used the ball as effectively as ever.
Fabinho – 9
The Brazilian had an absolute stormer in the centre of defence, giving Timo Werner absolutely nothing.
Virgil van Dijk – 9
Virgil van Dijk was as imperious as ever at the back, shutting the Chelsea front line out.
Andy Robertson – 8.5
Andy Robbo, published author, was energetic and threatening throughout the game.
Jordan Henderson – 8.5
The skipper was at the centre of the action playing a splendid through ball which led to the Chelsea red card.
Naby Keita – 7
The Guinean midfielder didn’t have his most impactful game but he still used the ball well.
Gini Wijnaldum – 7
The Dutchman was as energetic as ever running about the midfield at Stamford bridge.
Mo Salah – 8.5
Mo terrorised the Chelsea defence, always threatening off and on the ball.
Sadio Mane – 10
Sadio had a typical performance today, he bagged a brace through sheer determination and lethal finishing ability.
Bobby Firmino – 7
Bobby Firmino was deadly on and off the ball, terrorising the Chelsea defence.
