This weekend was a good one for Liverpool. There were wins for the senior side and the U23s; the first team beat Leeds United 4-3 at Anfield on the opening day whilst the kids ran out 1-0 winners against Everton in the Mini Derby. Liverpool fans have been swooning over a photo of Curtis Jones at the Mini Derby.
Weekend wins for Reds
It will be all smiles at the training ground this Monday with Liverpool collecting wins at both senior and U23s levels this weekend.
Jürgen Klopp’s side won 4-3 at Anfield in a chaotic, hotly contested opening day fixture with old enemy Leeds United.
Mo Salah bagged a hat-trick and Virgil van Dijk thumped home a header as the Reds just about did enough for the win.

The Scouser was photographed supporting his old teammates in the Liverpool U23s, a side he turned out for regularly last season before being promoted to the senior side.
There is plenty expected of Curtis Jones this season, he came on as a substitute against Leeds and was thoroughly impressive with his contribution.
For him to then spend his Sunday watching his old teammates take on Everton is testament to his character and just how much the club means to him.
Liverpool fans love Jones attitude
One fan pointed out that he could be a future captain.

Whilst one supporter pointed out that Jones is still younger than some of the players in the U23s.
Funny considering he’s probably younger than a lot of the lads there

This Kopite believes he’s going to be our next big breakthrough talent.
He played very well. He’s going to be our next big breakthrough academy player after Trent.

His attendance at the Mini Derby showed the perfect attitude.
This is the humility needed to be a top LFC player. Keep on growing and learning. #YNWA
