Liverpool don’t need to make any drastic, sweeping changes to the first team. The Reds have been crowned Champions of Everything in the last year and a bit, if it ain’t broke then don’t fix it. However, the club could do with some backup options in key areas just in case something happens. Reported Liverpool target Milot Rashica is allegedly available for just £18.5m. With Aston Villa closing in, should the Reds act fast to get in there first?
Who is Milot Rashica?
24-years-old, Rashica plays primarily on the right wing for Werder Bremen.
The Kosovan international can also play on the left wing, up top or somewhere behind the striker if needed.
Last season the winger netted eight goals and bagged seven assists in 28 games – not a bad tally when playing in a side that finished in the Bundesliga relegation playoff places.
Liverpool and Milot Rashica
Liverpool have been linked with Milot Rashica a few times in the past months, Bild linked the Reds with a move back in February.
Sky Sports have reported that Aston Villa are in pursuit of the Bremen winger as the midlands side look to survive relegation with a big more security this season.
The report claims that the German side are looking for a fee of around £18.5m for their star wide man.
Liverpool should reconsider Rashica
Given that the winger is reportedly valued at £18.5m, Liverpool should reconsider a move for Milot Rashica.
At 24-years-old he fits the age profile and would cost a fraction of the price the club would allegedly have to stump up for Ismaila Sarr.
There can be no doubt that the club could do with a backup player on at least one of the wings, at the moment the Reds have only the consistently Xherdan Shaqiri and Harry Wilson covering.
