The Liverpool squad is significantly larger than it was this time last year. This is down to a number of loanees returning to the club and very few departures to speak of – Adam Lallana and Dejan Lovren are the only players of note to have left the first team. We may well see further departures in the near future. According to David Anderson of The Mirror, the chase for Harry Wilson is hotting up with Aston Villa leading.
Welsh wizard Wilson
Harry Wilson is yet to make a first team appearance for Liverpool.
The Welshman has been loaned out to Derby County and Bournemouth in recent years with varying degrees of success.
Whilst at Derby the youngster couldn’t stop scoring worldies, regularly collecting the club’s goal of the month award.
This summer looks as though it could be his last at the club with the Reds apparently unwilling to let him leave on loan again.

Wilson wanted by Aston Villa
According to David Anderson at The Mirror, the Liverpool winger is in high demand.
The journalist has tweeted that the Reds will demand £20m for their youngster with Leeds United named as long term admirers.
However, Harry Wilson may well head to Aston Villa with the midlands side said to be leading the chase for the Welshman.
Despite the reported interest, no club has met the Reds’ valuation yet.
What RTK has to say
It is probably for the best for all involved if Liverpool move the winger on.
Harry Wilson will likely get much more game time at Aston Villa than he would at Liverpool.
The Reds front three are pretty immovable, the Welshman would probably only get a shot in the cup games and even then Harvey Elliott’s development could be prioritised.
The sale of Harry Wilson to Aston Villa could also free up some funds for the much talked about Thiago move.
