Liverpool have had some iconic players down the years. From the box to box heroics of Steven Gerrard to the slaloming runs of John Barnes, we’ve been treated to some greats of the game. There have been few better at Anfield than Luis Suarez, truly one of the most gifted players to ever grace the hallowed turf. The Uruguayan is reportedly set to leave Barcelona this summer and some Liverpool fans would love to have Suarez back at the club.

Controversial genius
When Liverpool signed Luis Suarez they couldn’t have had any idea what a whirlwind they were in for.
He disgraced the club with his racist outburst towards Patrice Evra and his biting of Branislav Ivanovic.
He wowed the club with his astonishing 31 goals and 12 assists in the final 33 league games of his Anfield career.
He was a controversial genius during his time in the Premier League, a spell ended when Barcelona signed him for £75m.
Barca bubble burst
Barcelona are currently a club in crisis. The Catalan giants are still recovering from the humiliation of their 8-2 defeat against Bayern Munich and an autopsy is still ongoing.
The club have appointed Ronald Koeman as manager and he will be overseeing a thorough overhaul of the playing staff.
According to RAC1 in Catalonia their Uruguayan talisman will be let go on a free, a move sure to alert clubs across the world.
Liverpool fans debate Suarez return
Some Liverpool fans would jump at the chance of Luis Suarez returning.
It is exciting to think of him under our current gaffer.
It’s not like we’d be expecting him to play week in, week out.
Though some don’t think his services are required given the quality in the squad.
Would he be too expensive given his age?
Or would he just be the ultimate back up striker?
