This summer Liverpool will be moving players on before bringing them in. The Reds are facing up to the financial realities of the global health crisis and preparing for one of their least expensive transfer windows. We can expect players to leave before players come in. One player who could leave the Reds is James Milner, fans have been discussing the prospect of him rejoining Leeds United.
James Milner began his career with Leeds United, he only left his boyhood side as the the club were forced to sell their top talents in order to resolve a devastating financial situation.
The Yorkshire side being promoted to the Premier League has led to fans from both clubs discussing the possibility that Milner may return to Leeds to aid them in consolidating their place in the top flight.
Now just one appearance away from Liverpool being the club he has the most appearances for, Milner has been a loyal servant to the side since he arrived on a free from Manchester City. We can’t begrudge him if he wants to return to Elland Road for his twilight years.
Wouldn’t surprise me if you leave Liverpool for leeds

If we did let Milly go then we could replace him with a widely reported target.

it’s ok, milly. You’ve won everything, you can go back and captain Leeds in the PL!! It will be tough but i think Thiago could be a stopgap…

Many Liverpool fans are fine with the prospect of letting Milner rejoin Leeds United.
As a Liverpool fan, I think it would be nice of us to let you go on a free and enjoy your hometown club. Unless you really want another title!

It would free up the iconic number 7 jersey, previously worn by Kenny Dalglish, Kevin Keegan and Luis Suarez.
Can we let Milner go to Leeds now and make way for the no.7 jersey

The Yorkshireman has contributed a lot in such a short space of time.
If he wants to go you should be allowed to. For what he has done for the club. He deserves that much at least

If we don’t let him go he can be of massive help to the young pros we have breaking through.
If Milner wants to move and finish his career with Leeds, I wouldn’t stop him – he’s done enough for us to decide where his career should go in his twilight years.
If he wants to stay, he’s a great presence to have around, and I’d love him in a coaching capacity when he retires. https://t.co/5TrIhsMBU1

But of course, due to his years in the game and the trophies he’s won at Anfield, we won’t begrudge him making the move back. He deserves it.
I’d have absolutely no qualms about Milner leaving and captaining Leeds next season. In fact, I nearly want him to. He deserves it! https://t.co/csSeqSYmmm
