AC Milan received a proposal to sign Liverpool midfielder Mark Grujic, according to reports. The Rossoneri ‘seem cold’ on the player, however.
This comes from TuttoMercatoWeb. The Italian outlet says that Milan have had a proposal to sign Grujic and that the player likes the look of Serie A.
It also mentions Lazio but while we don’t know their thoughts, TMW air Milan’s. The Rossoneri aren’t that interested, apparently, and ‘seem cold’ on the idea of signing the Serbian.
What RTK has to say
It’s difficult to say exactly how true this is is simply because TMW gives so little information. Did Liverpool offer Grujic? Did the 24-year-old’s representatives approach Milan?
Was this another loan offer or a permanent deal?
If we had to guess, we’d say this was a loan proposal. That’s simply off the idea that Milan are cold on it – they’d surely want to sign the player if he were available.
Grujic has enjoyed a productive two years on loan with Hertha BSC. His first season, in particular, went very well and his reputation is fairly high now.
So we’d find it hard to believe that Milan wouldn’t have interest in a talented 24-year-old, given the position they’re in these days. If it were a loan offer, then we’d understand.
As for Lazio, if they’re interested we can expect Grujic to push for that one. It would be an incredible move for him and one that’s worked out brilliantly for both Luis Alberto and Lucas Leiva in recent years.
But then, we get even less information on that one than on Milan. We’ll just have to wait and see – but it certainly promises to be a big summer for Grujic.
