Liverpool are watching Milan Skriniar as well as Kalidou Koulibaly, according to reports in Italy. Two Premier League rivals join them in doing so, however.
But the Reds aren’t the only ones looking at the defensive duo. Both Manchester United and Manchester City join them, says the report, and the trio have ‘long had dossiers’ on Skriniar. But all three teams face the same problem.
Internazionale value Skriniar at over £45m and have no current intentions to sell the player. That may be different with Koulibaly, though, but he comes with a different stumbling block.
Napoli want around £90m for their defender, making Skriniar half the price. No wonder the trio are looking at both, then.

What RTK has to say
They’re the two best defenders in Italy, so it’s hardly a surprise that Liverpool, City and United would all watch them. There’s no doubt that all three could potentially move – if prices were reasonable.
But we don’t actually know what a reasonable price is at the moment. In all honesty, £45m for a 25-year-old as good as Skriniar seems an absolute bargain. Any other year and we’d be wishing that Liverpool head in his direction.
This is a time when the Reds can’t justify £50m for Timo Werner, however. Given that he was reportedly a principal target, we just can’t imagine that Liverpool would pay a similar amount for a player like Skriniar, who hasn’t been linked with the club before now.
