Danny Rose believes Andy Robertson is the best left-back in England right now. He might even be the best in all of Europe.

Rose spoke to YouTube channel ‘The Lockdown Tactics’ where he gave his thoughts on Robertson.

“Andy Robertson looks like a freak of nature,” said Rose. “I watch him play football and in every game he gives the same commitment. His consistency levels are extremely high. He is just brilliant.”

“He’s been the best left-back in England and, maybe, Europe for the past two years,” he’d go on to say. “For me, now, he is the one I’m looking to catch, without a doubt. He is the best.”

What RTK has to say

It’s always great to see professionals take the time to recognise a rival. And Robertson certainly deserves recognition as one of – if not the – best around.

Few could have predicted that the Scot would even become a fixture at Liverpool following his £10m move from relegated Hull City. No one would have seen him develop into the best in Europe.

But that’s what Robertson is right now. He made the UEFA Champions League squad of the season last year as the designated left-back. He was also the left-back in the PFA Team of the Year. Then the end of 2019 saw Robertson make the UEFA Fans’ Team of 2019.

Andy Robertson is surely the best left-back around.

On top of that, he’s a UEFA Champions League winner and almost certainly a Premier League winner, too. It barely needs to be said at this point but no one else can match all that at left-back. No one really comes close over the past two seasons.

And so we’d just have to agree with Rose – Robertson is simply the best left-back around.
