The Bundesliga returns this weekend and here are four players Liverpool fans should keep an eye on. There are several talents linked with the Reds.
Let’s start with the most obvious one – you could have guessed this one for yourselves. Reports have linked the Reds with Werner for a very long time. In fact, the only problem seems to be Liverpool’s caution in the current economic climate, according to the Independent.
Sort that, and the £50m man will be at Anfield next season.
Werner will play for RB Leipzig on Saturday at home to SC Freiburg. His side are five points off the top.
Rashica will almost certainly leave Weder Bremen this summer. That’s according to Bild, anyway, who say that Liverpool maintain their interest in the Kosovo forward.

His release clause is around £34m, says the source, and links with the Reds date back to at least February. Sky Sports do believe that Liverpool have cooled their interest, we should say, but he’s definitely a player worth remembering.
Rashica and Bremen will host Bayer Leverkusen on Monday, needing points in a relegation fight.
Now, we feel that Havertz would be just about perfect for Liverpool. And the Reds have scouted him, too, holding interest since at least February, if you believe the Independent.
The club feels Bayer Leverkusen’s £80m asking price is too much, however, and value him at half that. Perhaps he can impress over the rest of the season to convince Liverpool otherwise, though.
Havertz will travel to Bremen with Leverkusen on Monday, where he’ll face off against Rashica.
Our final player to watch as the Bundesliga returns is another RB Leipzig man. Passione Inter linked Liverpool with Upamecano two months ago and reports since suggest there may be something in it.
Various outlets believe Liverpool are looking at centre-backs, for one thing. Estadio Deportivo says Diego Carlos could heave to Anfield. AS then backed up Passione Inter’s report in March, saying that the Reds want Jose Giminez, along with Upamecano.
SportBild says that Upamecano is available for £35m and if they’re right, he should be the centre-back target. He’s a wonderfully talented 21-year-old and would be a superb signing.
Upamecano will, of course, join Werner in facing SC Freiburg on Saturday.
