The government of Singapore has produced a bizarre comic book hero that hates Liverpool Football Club. It’s one of the more bizarre stories we’ve seen.
In an alternate universe, a team of heroes helps to save the world during this global health crisis. In this creation by the government of Singapore, anyway.
There’s Circuit Breaker – a transformer-looking robot powered by a 12-year-old girl thanks to her super tiara. Then you’ve got Fake News Buster, a guy who hits people with a mallet to tell them they’re factually incorrect.
And who’s that coming to save the day? Why, it’s Dr. Disinfector, who disinfects things, partnered with Care-leh Dee, a lady who cares for people.
So, what’s this got to do with football? Well, not a lot thus far but we haven’t got to the best one yet – MAWA Man.
You see, MAWA stands for ‘Must Always Walk Alone’, the antithesis of Liverpool FC. MAWA man is a ‘super sports agent’ by day but by night, he goes around enforcing his motto.
Check out his bio:
“MAWA Man is a fanatical Manchester United fan who grew up in the 80s when Liverpool kept winning titles and he was constantly taunted by his two Liverpool fan brothers. This made him despise everything Liverpool including their motto You’ll Never Walk Alone (YNWA).
“His hatred for Liverpool so far exceeds his love for Man Utd that it manifested as a telekinesis power in MAWA Man to push objects and people through his eyes.”
He has the ability to repel both people and objects but there’s one weakness. He ‘cannot stop Man Utd fans from gathering as he will be compelled to join them’.
So, effectively, he goes around enforcing social distancing to everyone except United supporters. Those poor fans, the only group he can’t protect.
At least Liverpool fans in Singapore are safe and sound thanks to MAWA Man.
