Reports out of Spain believe that two reported Liverpool targets have their hearts set on moves to Real Madrid. That’s £100m worth of talent potentially heading to the Santiago Bernabeu.

First off, Marca says that Eduardo Camavinga wants to go to Real. They’re not the first to claim that, either, as ABC said similar last week.

Camavinga is apparently Zinedine Zidane’s ‘chosen one’ and Rennes face a challenge to keep the teenager. They’re not the only ones facing a challenge to have Camavinga next season, though, as Liverpool reportedly want him, too.

Sport believe that, anyway, and understand that £46m would get him.

And on the subject of young, French Liverpool targets who want to go to Real, there’s also Dayot Upamecano.

PassioneInter has the Reds down as a potential destination. On top of that, BILD believes that Upamecano openly wants to leave RB Leipzig this summer for a fee of around £54m.

But once again, Real are there to steal the player’s attention. AS believe that Zidane again has him down as a key target and that Upamecano is pushing for a move because of Real’s interest.

What RTK has to say

If Real want the players, they’ll probably get them. For one thing, they can offer more game time. They’re not currently thriving like Liverpool are and have an ageing squad.

Upamecano is a clear successor for Sergio Ramos, for instance. There’s no situation like that at Liverpool.

So the timing just might be wrong on this one and the Reds will have to look elsewhere.
