Liverpool are currently linked with some exciting transfer targets. Here are who we believe to be the most exciting in each area.
Goalkeeper – Ugurcan Cakir
A strange one, really, but Liverpool aren’t linked with many goalkeepers. We’re not too sure that Liverpool are interested in the young Turkish goalkeeper but reports claim they are. Sabah, for instance, claim the Reds hoped to scout him later in the season.
Leicester City chief scout Lee Congerton reportedly says Liverpool were interested. “One of the best goalkeepers I have seen in my life,” he apparently said. “I was wondering who the goalkeeper was that Liverpool offered £22 million (for).”
Still interested, though? We’re not sure but the Reds may want to upgrade their backup.
Defender – Bukayo Saka
The young Arsenal left-back has certainly caught the eye. Just 18 years old, Saka has notched up eight assists while playing up and down the left-wing. He looks like an incredible talent and, really, the ideal long-term replacement for Andy Robertson.
Saka can command the left flank on his own and deliver assists from defence. Perfect for the Reds, really. The Daily Mail say Liverpool want him and it’s no surprise.
Midfielder – Kai Havertz
Arguably the most exciting of all Liverpool’s reported transfer targets. The Independent says that Liverpool want Havertz but don’t want to pay £80m for him.
We think recent developments make him virtually perfect for them, however. He’s a 20-year-old goal-scoring midfielder who can play in the forward line. What more could Liverpool possibly want?
Forward – Timo Werner
Werner is the second Bundesliga talent on the list and another very exciting one. He fits the profile wonderfully well, given he’s a quick forward who can play out wide.
The Liverpool Echo say he’s worth £50m and that’s a fantastic price for a forward with 21 goals and seven assists in the league this season.
That’s a phenomenal record over 25 games. If Liverpool can get ahold of him, they absolutely should.
