This season has been Liverpool’s best in their top flight history – heck, it’s the best season any team has had in top flight history. The Reds have stormed into a 25 point lead at the top of the table and are now waiting to find out whether or not they’ll be rewarded with the trophy. James Pearce has pointed out that Liverpool could lift the Premier League in a Nike kit.
The Reds have been certain champions for months now.
Jürgen Klopp’s men have built up an insurmountable lead at the top of the table and just when everything looked rosy, the world went a bit crazy.
A global health crisis has rightly suspended all sporting fixtures across the country, with the Premier League no exception there is no knowing when the competition will resume.
This means that The Reds’ first league title in 30 years is now in doubt.
Thankfully, UEFA has suspended Euro 2020, making it Euro 2021 in order to help domestic leagues play out their remaining fixtures.
With UEFA giving us time to finish our season, James Pearce has pointed out that Liverpool could lift the Premier League in a Nike kit.
The Reds partnership with the sportswear giants begins in June, meaning that any fixtures played from then on out should be done in a Nike kit.
This would be a major benefit for Liverpool as they receive a much bigger cut for every shirt sold by Nike than they did from New Balance.
Lifting the title in a new kit should give a big boost to shirt sales as people scramble to buy what will become an iconic Liverpool top.
More shirt sales means more money for Liverpool which means more money for the #Mbappe2020 campaign.
